120,000 Winter Boots Provided for Displaced Ukrainian Families

In November 2022 it was announced that transport and logistics services provided by Tech For Refugees partner Flexport.org have delivered 120,000 pairs of new winter boots to refugees displaced from their homes in Ukraine.

With winter arriving in Ukraine, acute cold and heavy snowfall in some areas are affecting the several million people who have been internally and externally displaced by the war. This delivery, representing a collaboration among non-profit and commercial partners, is the largest winter boot donation ever received by the UNHCR’s Winterization Ukraine Emergency Response.

Flexport.org also offset 100 percent of the CO₂ emissions of the consignment, among other social and environmental contributions.
